This is a portrait of my parents from this photo taken in 1950. My father's favorite color was blue and my mother loved green.
My daughter Tameka is on her way to college ready to take on the world.
Her name is Azure with means blue in French. I decided to give her a background filled with blue bubbles. Isn't she cute!

One great thing about a portrait you can change things to make it more personal. In this painting, I was asked to make his shirt brown because that was his favorite color.
I really liked doing this painting, It was done at their home and I left it there.
In this painting I liked the pose but took the face from another photo.
This was taken on her 3rd birthday. She had no intention of giving up the purse or going to sleep even though the party was over.
